Removing Barriers, Unlocking Potential: ATI Foundation Invests $40K in Workforce Development
As part of its mission to create stronger communities through workforce readiness and educational opportunity, the ATI Foundation has awarded $5,000 to eight local nonprofit organizations working to unlock potential and expand access to career pathways.
The recipients:
Begin with Books
Doors to Dream
Entryway
Reading Partners
Reforge Charleston
The Redirect Collective
Trident Literacy Association
Turn90
“These organizations are tackling real challenges on the ground,” said Dolly Pelto, Executive Director of the ATI Foundation. “Our funding is a vote of confidence in their work—but even more importantly, it’s an invitation to the broader community to get involved. When we support these partners and promote their volunteer opportunities, we create ripple effects that last far beyond the donation itself.”
More Than Charity—It’s About Impact
The ATI Foundation isn’t just cutting checks. These investments are part of a larger strategy to remove barriers and strengthen the workforce ecosystem from the ground up. Each nonprofit selected plays a unique role in helping individuals gain the tools, confidence, and access they need to build better futures—for themselves, their families, and their communities.
Rooted in responsiveness and collaboration, the Foundation's Charitable Giving Program channels both financial support and volunteer energy into initiatives that reflect employee values and urgent community needs. From literacy and education to re-entry support and career development, this year’s focus sharpens its commitment to workforce readiness.
What’s Next?
This funding is only the beginning. As the ATI Foundation continues to grow its impact, it will deepen partnerships, elevate local success stories, and expand its role as a catalyst for action—not bureaucracy.
