Volunteering in Action: ATI Teammates Step Up to Serve

At the ATI Foundation, service isn’t a side effort—it’s part of our culture. And thanks to our Volunteer Time Off (VTO) program, ATI employees are showing what it looks like when mission-driven professionals give back with purpose.

ATI teammates have logged hundreds of VTO hours, supporting causes that keep our communities healthy, strong, and connected. Two standout efforts this season showcased that spirit in action:

Sullivan’s Island Beach Cleanup

A group of ATI volunteers spent a day walking the dunes and shoreline of Sullivan’s Island, collecting debris and discarded materials to help preserve the natural beauty of South Carolina’s coast. Their efforts contributed to a cleaner, safer environment for both people and wildlife—and reinforced our commitment to environmental stewardship as part of a strong community ecosystem.

Stir-Fry & Support at Ronald McDonald House

Another ATI team took their energy into the kitchen—cooking a warm, nourishing meal for families staying at Ronald McDonald House Charleston. The organization provides a “home away from home” for families with children undergoing medical treatment. By preparing and serving dinner, ATI volunteers brought a moment of relief and connection to families facing some of life’s toughest challenges.

While our long-term focus at the Foundation is on education and workforce development, these acts of service remind us that every strong future starts with a strong present. When ATI employees take time to serve, they model the very values we stand for: teamwork, compassion, and impact through action.

“Our volunteers show up with their time, their heart, and their hands. That’s the kind of leadership we’re proud to support—and the kind of culture we’re building at ATI,” said Dolly Pelto, Executive Director of the ATI Foundation.

Whether it’s a beach, a kitchen, or a classroom, the ATI Foundation is here to empower people to take ownership of their communities. And we’re just getting started.
